Module Setting

Configure what appears on the home page and personalize your NeatHub interface.

In Simple Terms

Module Setting is where you decide what the home page shows. It controls which groups appear in the home page's "Hierarchy" and "Aggregation" tabs, and which attributes appear in the quick filter on the "Goods" tab. The defaults are rarely the ones you use most, so here you can keep the hierarchy categories you actually browse, retain a few high-frequency attribute tags, and create custom "Aggregation Groups" (like "Expiring Soon" or "High-Value Items"), so the home page only shows what you actually care about.

When You'll Need This

  • The home page category shortcuts aren't the ones you use most, and you want to swap them for your frequently used categories
  • You want to see key groups like "Expiring Soon" or "Low Stock" at a glance on the home page
  • Too many attribute tags make the home page cluttered — you want to keep just a few commonly used ones
  • Your focus changes over time (during a move you focus on "Packing" categories, during seasonal changes you focus on "Clothing") — adjust home page shortcuts accordingly

Accessing Module Setting

  • Tap the top-left corner of the home page to open the side menu
  • In the Settings group, tap "Module Setting"
  • Enter the configuration page

Home Page Hierarchy Configuration

Decide which categories show up in the home page's "Hierarchy" tab:

What Are Hierarchy Categories

In Simple Terms

Hierarchy categories are the "Hierarchy" type attributes listed in Attribute Management (the Attribute tab of Custom Fields), such as "Location" (Wardrobe/Shelf 2/Left Side) or "Category" (Electronics/Headphones/Wireless). These multi-level attributes can be displayed as shortcuts on the home page.

Adding a Hierarchy Shortcut

  • Expand "Home Hierarchy"
  • Tap "Add"
  • Select the hierarchy categories to display (e.g., "Location," "Category")
  • The category shortcut appears in the "Hierarchy" tab on the home page

Purpose

  • Quickly access frequently used categories from the home page
  • No need to manually filter each time
  • Tap a shortcut to go directly to that category's item list

Removing a Hierarchy Shortcut

  • Expand "Home Hierarchy"
  • Tap the delete icon on the item you want to remove
  • The shortcut is removed from the home page (the category itself is not affected)

Home Page Attribute Configuration

Decide which attributes appear in the quick filter of the home page's "Goods" tab:

Adding Attribute Tags

  • Expand "Home Attribute"
  • Tap "Add"
  • Select the attributes to display (e.g., Color, Status)
  • On the home page, tap "Goods ▾" to open the attribute quick-filter panel and see these tags

Purpose

  • Quickly filter by attribute values on the home page
  • Tap a tag to filter by that attribute value
  • Great for frequently used filters
Example

Add the "Color" attribute and the quick-filter panel shows a color tag bar. Tap the "Red" tag, and the list will only show red items.

Home Aggregation Configuration

Set up the custom groups shown in the home page's "Aggregation" tab:

What Is Home Aggregation

In Simple Terms

An aggregation is a "custom group" — you set a filter condition, and the "Aggregation" tab displays item cards matching that condition in a horizontally scrollable row. For example, set a condition for "expiration date within 7 days" and name it "Expiring Soon" — you get an "Expiring Soon" group showing all items about to expire.

Adding an Aggregation Group

  • Expand "Home Aggregation"
  • Tap "Add"
  • Set filter conditions (e.g., status = "Expiring Soon," or expiration date within the next 7 days)
  • Enter a group name (e.g., "Expiring Soon")
  • The group appears in the "Aggregation" tab on the home page

Aggregation Group Examples

  • Expiring Soon: Filter items with expiration dates within the next 7 days — a reminder to handle them promptly
  • Recently Added: Filter items added in the last 3 days — easy to review new entries
  • High-Value Items: Filter items priced above 500 — keep an eye on valuable items
  • Low Stock: Filter items with quantity less than 3 — a reminder to restock

Quantity Limits

  • Free users can create up to 3 aggregation groups
  • Members can create up to 10 aggregation groups

Deleting an Aggregation Group

  • Expand "Home Aggregation"
  • Tap the delete icon on the item you want to remove
  • The group is removed from the home page (items themselves are not affected)

Use Cases

Scenario 1: Moving house

During a move, change the "Location" hierarchy to a "Packing Box" category so the "Hierarchy" tab directly shows shortcuts for each packing box. Add a "To Be Packed" aggregation group to see at a glance which items haven't been boxed yet.

Scenario 2: Seasonal organizing

When the season changes, switch the home page hierarchy to a "Clothing" category shortcut, and add an "Expiring Soon" aggregation group (check for expired food while you're at it).

Scenario 3: Efficient daily management

For everyday use, just keep the "Expiring Soon" and "Low Stock" aggregation groups — switch to the "Aggregation" tab on the home page and the items that need attention are right there. Hide all other category shortcuts to keep the home page clean.

When Changes Take Effect

Tip

The Module Setting page carries a "Restart to take effect" note at the top: after saving groups and tags, restart the app and the home page reflects them.

Recommendation

Only add shortcuts and groups you actually use regularly to keep the home page clean and efficient. Too many shortcuts can make it harder to see what matters.
