Module Configuration
Configure what appears on the home page and personalize your NeatHub interface.
Module Configuration lets you customize what your home page displays. The home page shows some category shortcuts and attribute tags by default, but they may not be the ones you use most. Here you can set: which category shortcuts appear on the home page, which attribute filter tags to show, and create custom "Aggregate Groups" (like "Expiring Soon" or "High-Value Items"), so the home page only shows what you actually care about.
When You'll Need This
- The home page category shortcuts aren't the ones you use most, and you want to swap them for your frequently used categories
- You want to see key groups like "Expiring Soon" or "Low Stock" at a glance on the home page
- Too many attribute tags make the home page cluttered β you want to keep just a few commonly used ones
- Your focus changes over time (during a move you focus on "Packing" categories, during seasonal changes you focus on "Clothing") β adjust home page shortcuts accordingly
Accessing Module Configuration
- Tap the top-left corner of the home page to open the side menu
- Tap "Module Configuration"
- Enter the configuration page
Home Page Cascade Configuration
Set the category shortcuts displayed on the home page:
What Are Cascade Categories
Cascade categories are the "Cascade" type attributes from Attribute Management, such as "Location" (Wardrobe/Shelf 2/Left Side) or "Category" (Electronics/Headphones/Wireless). These multi-level attributes can be displayed as shortcuts on the home page.
Adding a Cascade Shortcut
- Expand "Home Cascade"
- Tap "Add"
- Select the cascade categories to display (e.g., "Location," "Category")
- The category shortcut appears at the top of the home page
Purpose
- Quickly access frequently used categories from the home page
- No need to manually filter each time
- Tap a shortcut to go directly to that category's item list
Removing a Cascade Shortcut
- Expand "Home Cascade"
- Tap the delete icon on the item you want to remove
- The shortcut is removed from the home page (the category itself is not affected)
Home Page Attribute Configuration
Set the attribute filter tags displayed on the home page:
Adding Attribute Tags
- Expand "Home Attributes"
- Tap "Add"
- Select the attributes to display (e.g., Color, Status)
- Attribute tags appear on the home page
Purpose
- Quickly filter by attribute values on the home page
- Tap a tag to filter by that attribute value
- Great for frequently used filters
Add the "Color" attribute to the home page, and a color tag bar appears. Tap the "Red" tag, and the list will only show red items.
Home Page Aggregate Configuration
Create custom item groups for the home page:
What Are Home Page Aggregates
An Aggregate is a "custom group" β you set a filter condition, and the home page displays item cards matching that condition in a horizontally scrollable row. For example, set a condition for "Expiry date within 7 days" and name it "Expiring Soon" β the home page will have an "Expiring Soon" group showing all items about to expire.
Adding an Aggregate Group
- Expand "Home Aggregates"
- Tap "Add"
- Set filter conditions (e.g., status = "Expiring Soon," or expiry date within the next 7 days)
- Enter a group name (e.g., "Expiring Soon")
- The group appears in the aggregate view area on the home page
Aggregate Group Examples
- Expiring Soon: Filter items with expiry dates within the next 7 days β a reminder to handle them promptly
- Recently Added: Filter items added in the last 3 days β easy to review new entries
- High-Value Items: Filter items priced above 500 β keep an eye on valuable items
- Low Stock: Filter items with quantity less than 3 β a reminder to restock
Quantity Limits
- Free users can create up to 3 aggregate groups
- Members can create up to 10 aggregate groups
Deleting an Aggregate Group
- Expand "Home Aggregates"
- Tap the delete icon on the item you want to remove
- The group is removed from the home page (items themselves are not affected)
Use Cases
Scenario 1: Moving house
During a move, change the "Location" cascade to a "Packing Box" category so the home page directly shows shortcuts for each packing box. Add a "To Be Packed" aggregate group to see at a glance which items haven't been boxed yet.
Scenario 2: Seasonal organizing
When the season changes, switch the home page cascade to a "Clothing" category shortcut, and add an "Expiring Soon" aggregate (check for expired food while you're at it).
Scenario 3: Efficient daily management
For everyday use, just keep the "Expiring Soon" and "Low Stock" aggregate groups β open the home page and immediately see the items that need attention. Hide all other category shortcuts to keep the home page clean.
When Changes Take Effect
Changes to Module Configuration take effect immediately after saving. Refresh the home page to see the updates.
Only add shortcuts and groups you actually use regularly to keep the home page clean and efficient. Too many shortcuts can make it harder to see what matters.
