Identical Items

View other items with the same name as your current item, and manage identically named items together.

What Are Identical Items?

Identical items are other items that share the same name:

• The system searches your item library for items with the same name
• Displays a list of these identically named items
• You can rename all identically named items at once

Viewing Identical Items

• Go to the item detail page
• If identically named items exist, an "Other X items" prompt will appear
• Tap the prompt to enter the Identical Items page
• View the list of all identically named items

Identical Items Page

On the Identical Items page, you can see:

• Item Name: The current item's name (editable)
• Total Count: The total number of identically named items
• Item List: All identically named items sorted by date added

Rename All at Once

You can batch rename all identically named items:

• On the Identical Items page, tap the edit icon next to the name
• Enter the new name
• Confirm the change
• All identically named items are updated simultaneously

Use Cases

View Purchase History

• See multiple purchase records for the same item
• Know how many times you've purchased it in total
• Check the date and quantity of each purchase

Standardize Names

• Discover naming inconsistencies among similar items
• Rename them all to a standard name at once
• Makes future management and searching easier

Count Identical Items

• Quickly see how many of a certain item you have in stock
• Answer the question "How many of these do I own?"
• Helps with purchasing decisions

Example

Suppose you added "Shampoo" three times:

• First added: 2024-01-01, Quantity 1
• Second added: 2024-03-15, Quantity 2
• Third added: 2024-06-20, Quantity 1

Open the detail page for any "Shampoo" item and you'll see "Other 2 items." Tap it to enter the Identical Items page, which shows all three purchase records.

Important Notes

• Only items with exactly the same name are grouped as identical items
• Minor differences in names (e.g., capitalization, spaces) will not be grouped
• Using consistent naming conventions is recommended for easier management
