AI Recognition Task Management
View, correct, retry, or clean up AI recognition results for items.
When using Stream Add orAI Item Recognition, the system runs AI recognition for the item, including name, brand, attributes, and more. Recognition may sometimes be inaccurate or fail. This article explains how to correct results, run recognition again, or remove recognition records you do not want.
When to Use This
- The AI result is clearly wrong, such as recognizing headphones as something else, and you want to run it again
- Some recognized fields are correct while others are wrong, and you want to edit a few fields manually
- You recognized many items earlier and are unhappy with the results, so you want to clear them and start again
- AI recognition is stuck or failed, and you want to retry manually
Viewing Recognition Results
- Open the item details page
- If the item was entered through AI recognition, an âAI recognizedâ badge appears next to the name or attributes
- Tap the badge to expand recognition details, including status, time, and recognized fields
Recognition Status
- Recognizing: AI is still processing; wait a moment
- Completed: recognition succeeded and results have been written to item fields
- Failed: an error occurred during recognition; you can tap retry
- No recognition needed: the item was entered manually and did not trigger AI
Correcting Recognition Results
If AI recognizes a field incorrectly, edit it directly on the item details page:
- Tap the edit icon next to the incorrect field on the item details page
- Change it to the correct value
- Save
After manual editing, the field is marked as âuser confirmedâ. Future re-recognition will not overwrite the parts you modified.
Re-recognition
If the recognition result is generally wrong or recognition failed, you can trigger AI again:
- Open the item details page
- Tap the more button next to the âAI recognitionâ badge
- Choose âRe-recognizeâ
- You can let AI determine the type automatically, or specify a category such as âcosmeticsâ or âelectronicsâ so AI recognizes attributes based on that type
- Wait for AI to return new results
If the item belongs to a niche category, automatic recognition may deviate more. After specifying a category, AI recognizes common attributes for that category. For example, if you specify âcosmeticsâ, AI focuses on brand, capacity, shelf life, and similar fields.
Re-recognition consumes another AI call. Members have unlimited access, while free users are limited by the daily quota. See Membership.
Clearing a Single Recognition Result
If you want an item to return to an âunrecognizedâ state without affecting the item itself, clear only the AI recognition record:
- Open the item details page
- Tap the more button next to the âAI recognitionâ badge
- Choose âClear Recognition Recordâ
- After confirmation, the item will no longer show the âAI recognizedâ badge
Clearing a recognition record only removes the AI recognition metadata. It does not delete the item itself or any content that has already been written into fields.
Clearing All Recognition Records
To batch clear AI recognition records for all items under your account:
- Open the AI Recognition Configuration page
- Scroll to the bottom and tap âClear All Recognition Recordsâ
- Confirm the operation
After batch clearing, AI recognition badges on all items disappear, but item data and field content are not affected. This operation cannot be undone. Confirm carefully before proceeding.
Use Cases
Scenario 1: Most recognition results are wrong
For a newly purchased niche-brand pair of headphones, AI recognized it as another model. On the details page, choose âRe-recognizeâ and specify the âelectronicsâ category so AI can run again using common headphone attributes.
Scenario 2: You want to clean up old recognition records
Earlier AI recognition during stream add may have produced many partially correct records. If you now want to organize everything manually, clear all recognition records first, then edit the data into the structure you want.
Scenario 3: Recognition is stuck
Poor network conditions may cause an item to remain in âRecognizingâ status. Tap âRe-recognizeâ on the details page to retry.
