Copy Item
Quickly duplicate an existing item's information to create a new item, saving you from filling in everything again.
If you need to add an item that's very similar to one you already have (like the same brand of shirt in a different color), you don't have to fill in all the details from scratch -- just copy the existing item and change only what's different.
How to Copy an Item
- Open the details page of the item you want to copy
- Tap the "More" menu (three dots) in the top right
- Select "Copy"
- The edit page opens with all the original item's information pre-filled
- Modify the fields that need to change (such as name, color, quantity, etc.)
- Tap Save to create the new item
What Gets Copied
When copying an item, the following information is automatically carried over to the new item:
- Item name
- Item images
- All custom attribute values (category, location, dates, etc.)
- Quantity and price
- Notes
The copy creates an entirely new item with no link to the original. Editing the new item won't affect the original, and vice versa.
Use Cases
Same Series, Different Styles
For example, if you have several T-shirts from the same brand that only differ in color and size, copy the first one and just change the color and size -- everything else (brand, purchase channel, storage location, etc.) is already filled in.
Regularly Restocked Items
Each time you buy the same household product, copy the previous entry and just update the purchase date and expiration date.
Batch Entry of Similar Items
If you have a batch of similar items to add (like a book series), enter the first one, then copy and modify repeatedly -- much faster than starting from scratch each time.
