First Use
After signing up and logging in, follow this guide to quickly learn the basic NeatHub workflow.
Main Interface Overview
After logging in, you will enter the item list page. This is NeatHub’s main interface:
- Top-left: open the sidebar, switch lists, and enter settings
- Top-right: search, filters, statistics, reminders, and other tool icons
- Center: item list cards
- Bottom-right: add item button
For a detailed interface walkthrough, see Main Interface.
Understanding Attributes
NeatHub attributes are divided into two types:
Built-in basic attributes
These are ready to use without any setup:
- Quantity: records item quantity, defaulting to 1
- Price: records item price
- Notes: item description or additional information
- Index notes: key information used for search indexing
Custom attributes
Create these manually based on your needs:
- Tags: for categories such as “Daily Supplies” or “Electronics”
- Input fields: freely enter text or numbers
- Dates: such as purchase date or expiration date
- Cascades: for locations such as “Wardrobe / Second shelf”
- Attachments: upload manuals and other files
- Scan fields: save barcode information
Start by adding a few items with the basic attributes to get familiar with the workflow. Then create custom attributes in Attribute Management. For details, see Add Items.
Beginner Workflow
We recommend getting started in this order:
- Add your first item
Tap the “+” button in the bottom-right corner, enter a name, fill in quantity and price, then save. For detailed steps, see Add Items.
- View item details
Tap an item card to view its full information. See Item Details.
- Create custom attributes
In Attribute Management from the sidebar, create attributes such as purchase date, expiration date, category, and location.
- Create lists for organization
Create lists such as “Daily Supplies” and “Food”. See What Are Lists?.
- Explore more features
Try fast entry methods such as barcode scanning, receipt recognition, and AI segmentation.
You do not need to learn every feature at once. Start with the basics, then gradually explore advanced features. If you run into questions, check the corresponding help article.
