Follow-up

The Follow-up page puts the two things that need action from you in one place: items that are close to expiring, and items whose quantity has dropped below the safety stock. Open it and you see everything waiting for you, without hopping between several pages.

In Simple Terms

Think of it as a "what needs my attention?" list: is anything about to expire today, has any consumable run low enough to buy more? When there is nothing to do it stays empty; when there is, the top of the home page tells you the counts directly.

Two Ways In

  • More menu: top right of the home page, "⋯" → "Follow-up"
  • Status line: the "N expiring soon · N below limit" line above the item list on the home page — tap it to go straight in

The status line only appears when there really is something to do; it disappears on its own once everything is handled.

Page Layout

Two segments at the top of the page — just switch between them:

The segment labels show text only, no count badges; for counts look at the status line at the top of the home page.

The "Reminder" Segment

  • A month dropdown and the filter entry sit at the top, with the calendar below: dates that have expiring items show the item image, and when several items share one day a count is shown
  • Tap a day to see only the items expiring that day
  • Below the calendar is the expiry list; each row shows the item name, "attribute name · N days left / N days expired", and the exact date
  • The "Edit" button at the end of a row changes the date right there, without opening the detail page: pick a postponement of 30 / 60 / 90 / 180 / 365 days, or choose a new date yourself
  • Tap anywhere else on the row to open the item detail page and see the full information

Which dates end up here depends on whether the attribute has its "Reminder" toggle turned on — see Expiration Reminders for details.

The "Stock Alert" Segment

  • Sorted by how large the shortfall is, biggest first
  • Each row shows the item name, safety stock and price, with the current quantity marked in a red tag on the right
  • Tap a row to change the quantity on the detail page; the list refreshes automatically when you come back
  • This segment sends no push notifications — you have to open it yourself

Suggestions for Using It

  • Getting into the habit of opening it once a day or once a week takes far less effort than fixing things afterwards
  • To cut down on interruptions, turn on "Reminder" only for attributes that really do expire
  • Set safety stock only for items that actually get used up; leave it empty for collectibles
