Template Configuration
Use preset templates to quickly create collections, or manage your own custom templates.
What Are Templates
Templates are preconfigured attribute setups that save you from building everything from scratch:
- Include attribute configurations (e.g., which attributes are needed for managing clothing)
- Include cascading category structures (e.g., location hierarchy)
- Include dictionary option presets (e.g., available values for color, category)
Plain English
Not sure which attributes to create? Templates are like ready-made setups designed by others. For example, choosing the "Food" template automatically creates attributes like purchase date, expiration date, category, and storage location. You can use them as-is or tweak them to fit your needs.
Using a Template
- When creating a collection, select "Use Template"
- Browse the available template list
- Choose a suitable template
- The template automatically configures the attribute system
- Adjust as needed
